With ‘non-surgical’ cosmetic treatments
PRP is widely used in aesthetics, where the natural components of your own body are harnessed to promote skin rejuvenation.
PRP is the concentration of your own body’s platelets in a small amount of plasma. This self-derived product possesses immense capabilities in terms of tissue regeneration.
A small sample of blood is taken from your arm, exactly like having a routine blood test at your doctor’s. The blood is centrifuged, and ten minutes later the PRP has been separated from the whole blood and is ready for use.
The treatment can improve skin texture and tone, refine wrinkles and, reduce scars such as acne or stretch marks while preserving a natural appearance. PRP can also be used to promote hair growth when used on the scalp.

Veinwave was pioneered by Dr Brian Newman MD FRCS in 1998. It is a revolutionary technique used by doctors around the world to eliminate spider veins on the face and fine thread veins known as telangiectasia.
Utilising the principle of thermocoagulation, Veinwave is the only treatment of its kind having received 510k clearance to market by the FDA. Veinwave has become the treatment of choice for practitioners and, patients alike, many having been failed by lasers and other light based systems. Veinwave provides a relatively painless walk in, walk out procedure, with no risk of bruising scarring or pigmentation.

As the skin ages in both men and women, it loses the collagen that helps to shape and support it. Dermal fillers replace this volume and can reduce wrinkles around the mouth, create fuller lips and, give your face a more supple, toned look.
At Rippon Medical Services, we only use premium dermal fillers like Juvederm® and Teoxane® although others can be used if requested. The hyaluronic acid volumisers in dermal filler mimic the effects of naturally occurring collagen by plumping up gaunt areas on cheeks and chin and sculpting more youthful contours.
This filler gently softens wrinkles and can help to fill out hollows to create the smooth contours of younger skin – without surgery.
The amount of dermal filler needed varies from person to person and, is dependent on the depth of the line or wrinkle. As a general guide, lip treatments require approximately 0.5ml of dermal filler and nose to mouth wrinkles require approximately 1ml.
The following areas can be suitably treated with dermal filler:
• Lips • Marionette Lines • Nasolabial Folds

Lines and wrinkles can develop as a result of environmental damage (sun, smoking, diet) and, as a natural side effect of ageing. The sun is particularly bad for the skin which is why wrinkles including eye wrinkles and hand wrinkles are more common.
Wrinkle reduction injectables are one of our most popular treatments and helps to soften frown lines and crow’s feet. For deeper wrinkles you may need dermal fillers.
How the treatment works
The treatment usually only takes 15 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. A very fine needle is injected into the area where the lines and wrinkles appear. This temporarily relaxes the muscles so that they no longer crease. The procedure is carried out by a fully qualified medical Doctor who specialises in facial aesthetics.
Line and wrinkle results
The results can take up to two weeks to become visible, depending on your lifestyle and, how your muscles react to the treatment. The effects can last between 3-4 months.
The following areas can be suitably treated:
• Frown Wrinkles • Forehead Wrinkles • Crow’s Feet Wrinkles
